Start Your Day at the Marketplace at 8:00 am 

Milwaukee Public Market is known for being a bustling and vibrant center of activity and tourists visit this place by a dozen. Check out the prepared foods such as cheese, tacos and beer of this marketplace located in the Third Ward. You get everything from free Wi-Fi to tables at this marketplace. Don’t miss out on the frozen custard.

Check out the Harley Davidson plant at 9:00 am

This is the famous plant where the iconic Harley Davidson is assembled in suburban Wauwatosa. Located close to a 20 minute drive west of downtown, these engines are built and you can get a one hour tour plus a chance to ride these awesome bikes.Admission is free here.

Milwaukee Public Art Museum is your destination at 10:00 am

Located in North Art Museum Drive, this museum is known for its amazing artwork and Georgia O’Keefe paintings. From galleries to photography, this museum excels in all forms of art. Adults are charged a fee of USD 15 while USD 12 has to be paid for admittance for children.

Discovery World Science Center is an excellent choice at 11:00 am

A lakefront and science-technology center, this museum has freshwater and saltwater aquariums. You can also enjoy the experience of sailing in a triple masted schooner at USD 40 for two hour sessions. The center  remains open from 9 in the morning to 4 in the evening Monday to Friday and from 10 am to 5 pm Saturdays and Sundays. It remains closed on Mondays from September to March.  USD 18 is charged for entry for adults and USD 14 for children.

12:00 pm is when you head out to the Lakefront Brewery

The Lakefront Brewery is located across the river from Brady Street and you can enjoy the tours at noon and the best time to visit is Friday nights. From beer to polka band, there are many high points of spending an evening here. There are 2 to 3 pm walk through guides as well. A one hour tour costs USD 8. The museum is open from 11 in the morning to 8 in the evening Monday to Thursday and till 9 pm on Friday. The brewery also opens from 9 in the morning to the night on Saturdays and 10 am to 5 pm on Sunday.

1:00 pm  and its time for another brewery

Miller brewery is the top place for those who want to enjoy the beer legacy of Milwaukee. Pabst and Schiltz have moved out, but Miller is still around. Visit the packaging plant where 2000 cans are filled in a single minute and around a half million cases for shipment. Don’t give up on the generous tasting session at the end of the tour which  lets you try three full size samples. From September to may, the brewery remains open from 10:30 in the morning to 3:30 in the noon Monday to Saturday.  From June to August, the brewery remains open till 3:30 pm.

Have a glorious lunch at 2:00 pm 

An exhaustive wine list, the best French food outside of Paris and a romantic coffee house restaurant. Trocadero is the place to go for a swell lunch.  Its year round patio is heated in winters. Mains here cost between USD 7 to 17 and opening hours are from 11 in the morning to the evening, Monday to Friday while it opens from 9 am on weekends. Bon appetite.

3:00 pm is the hour for a visit to the Milwaukee County Zoo

Milwaukee County Zoo is among the largest zoos in the US. From a sea lion show to a camel ride, you get just about every type of activity here. The zoo also has an educational program.

4:00 pm is museum time 

Excellent collections are there for visitors to admire and you even have a simulation of tropical forests to enjoy. The exhibits here are dynamic and interesting.

Shop at the Mayfair Mall at 5:00 pm 

Mayfair Mall is the ideal place to shop if you are in the city. You can enjoy the experience of shopping at one go under one roof for different products and items. This well stocked mall has everything a shopaholic could possibly want.

Kochanski’s Concertina is where you head to next to enjoy beers from Polish to American to Wisconsin craft levels. Located within 5 miles of downtown, the music here is amazing. Open from 6 in the evening to 2 am in the night Wednesdays to Saturdays and from 1 pm on Sunday, this is a beer hall with a difference.
